Childcare vouchers from Computershare Voucher Services are an employee benefit available to all eligible working parents. For employees they're non-taxable and exempt from National Insurance; for employers they bring NI savings too. Childcare vouchers are the recognised payment method for registered carers.
Any employer can offer a scheme and all eligible working parents with children up to 16^ years old can benefit. Childcare vouchers benefit all tax-payers and offer savings of up to £1866* a family, a year. Childcare vouchers are not just for under 5s - they can be used to pay for all types of registered childcare, including day nurseries, nannies, au pairs, crèches, childminders, out of school clubs, holiday schemes, activity clubs and qualifying childcare offered by schools.
*Figures quoted relate to the maximum family savings, if both working parents are Basic rate tax-payers and use childcare vouchers. If both working parents are Higher or Additional rate tax-payers they may save up to £1,246 a year. The savings you make will depend on your circumstances.
